Sven gives Taylor a Fab tip
by NEIL MOXEY, Daily Mail
Fabrizio Ravenelli has emerged as the man Peter Taylor has targeted to revitalise Leicester City.
The Filbert Street manager has been in touch with Lazio about securing the striker, nicknamed 'The Silver Fox', on a three-year deal after a glowing report on him from Sven Goran Eriksson.
And Taylor has lodged a £2million offer with the Rome club as he seeks to lift Leicester spirits after a disappointing end to their season.
Taylor turned to Eriksson, the England and former Lazio coach, for a reference on the forward captured from Marseille.
There were tales of dressing-room unrest during Ravanelli's stint at Middlesbrough four years ago but Eriksson said the striker was a model professional, prompting Taylor to take the matter further.
The stumbling block appears to be the striker's wages - just under £50,000-a-week. If that is too much, Taylor will turn his attention to Coventry's John Hartson.
