Federer beats Roddick to final
Fourth seed Roger Federer, of Switzerland, has won his semi-final against Andy Roddick.
The fifth seed from the United States was beaten 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 6-3 and will play Mark Philippoussis in Sunday's final.
The Swiss star continued to punish the Roddick's serve which had helped him breeze through to the semi-final stage with such aplomb.
Federer's tactics had put him firmly in the ascendency with the young American failing to find a game-plan to combat his opponent's aggressive style.
The match was over in one hour and 43 minutes.
