West Ham miss out on £2m Dailly
West Ham look to have lost out in the race to sign Blackburn defender Christian Dailly.
The Scottish international met with West Ham to discuss personal terms but Blackburn are thought to have accepted a £2 million bid from Leicester.
However, West Ham manager Harry Redknapp is confident that Steve Lomas will remain with the club despite accepting £3.7m offers from Everton and the player's former club Manchester City.
Redknapp said: "If he doesn't go he'll be in my team on Saturday. I think he'll probably stay.
"I think he's happy enough at West Ham. Man City and Everton made decent offers of £3.7 million so I gave Steve the option to decide what he wanted to do. He was looking to increase his contract with us and all I said to him was that if I were him I'd see what they've got to offer."
Redknapp is also confident Paolo Di Canio will play against Sunderland at Upton Park on Saturday after suffering from a heavy cold. He said: "Paolo's fine now."
