Football: Yorke price too high for Rovers
Graeme Souness has admitted he wants to bring Dwight Yorke to Blackburn - but not at Manchester United's current price-tag.
The Ewood Park boss is keen to re-unite the Old Trafford outcast with Andy Cole, signed by Rovers last season for £8million.
But Souness has said that United's valuation - believed to be around £6million - for the 30-year-old is too high.
He said: "I would like to bring Dwight Yorke here if we can afford to do the deal.
"But right now the asking price is beyond our valuation given that he's entering the last year of his contract."
Yorke, a £12.6million buy from Aston Villa, has been told he has no future at United after two disappointing seasons since his 1998 move.
In January, he snubbed a £6million move to rejoin former United number two Steve McClaren at Middlesbrough.
