1991: Rangers boss Graeme Souness quit Ibrox to become manager of Liverpool. His spell at Anfield, barring an FA Cup final victory over Sunderland, was an unhappy one and he left in 1994.
1993: Manchester City escaped with a suspended sentence of a £50,000 fine and a match to be played behind closed doors after crowd trouble marred their FA Cup home defeat by Tottenham.

1997: David Unsworth and Robbie Fowler were sent off as Liverpool saw their Premiership title dreams all but end as they drew 1-1 at Everton.
2004: FIFA fined the Cameroon Football Association £86,000 and dock the Cameroon national team six points from their World Cup 2006 qualifying group as punishment for wearing one-piece kits during the African Nations Cup.
