When Facebook's SDK corrupts, there is little that can be done by users, as the issue can only be fixed by Facebook's engineers.
However, people desperate to access their favourite apps which have ground to a halt due to this bug can try one method.
Because of the nature of the issue, with data being sent incorrectly from server to app, there are ways to prevent this process from ever taking place.
A free app, called Lockdown Apps and is completely unrelated to the coronavirus pandemic, is a privacy-focused app.
It stops apps and companies from accessing your data and prevents information from being sent to servers.
By downloading it from the App Store, users can easily install, activate and then resume using heir apps freely.
MailOnline tested the feature and found it worked perfectly, allowing access to Spotify and MailOnline's app.
- Go to the App Store
- Search 'Lockdown Apps'
- Download the app with the thumbnail as a padlock
- There is no need to sign up, press cancel on the pop-up window
- Follow the on-screen tutorial
- Skip and offers of free trials
- Tap 'Firewall on' to activate the service
- The iPhone will request the ability to make changes to the VPN of the phone, press 'allow'
- Exit the app and open your favourite app which has been affected by the outage
- The VPN can be toggled on and off at any time in the app and the app can also be removed, just like any other iPhone app
