Alcatel has today revealed a new smartphone as part of its IDOL Series, at the IFA conference in Berlin.
The IDOL 5 is designed for the ‘Now Generation’, with a new App Cloner function that allows users to stay logged into multiple accounts on one social media app.
The low-cost device is now available in Silver and Black, and costs €239.99 (£220/$286).

The IDOL 5 claims to offer users the perfect balance between style and function.
It features a 7.5mm build, with a solid metal body and bright 5.2-inch display, all wrapped in curved glass for smooth edges.
The device features a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, as well as a 5MP front camera, with an 84° wide angle lens and front facing flash, helping users to capture the perfect selfie.

Social media lovers will also be happy to hear about a new Video Story feature, which allows users to pick and choose photos and videos, and combine them into a short and shareable clip.
One of the most innovative features is the App Cloner function, which allows users to stay logged into multiple accounts on one social media app.
Different accounts for apps including WhatsApp and Instagram can now be used on one single device to distinguish between personal and professional purposes.
