The shoes, which are a size US 9.5 (UK 8.5), are being sold on eBay by Heritage Auctions, an auction house based in Dallas.
A description for the shoes reads: 'These sneakers were produced by Apple exclusively for their employees in the early 1990s.'
The vintage trainers never left the prototype stage, making them particularly rare.
Bids will open this Sunday at $15,000 (£11,600), but Heritage Auctions says the estimated value of the trainers is actually $30,000 (£25,000).

The auction comes just a year after a black turtleneck, books, keys, and other personal items that belonged to the late Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs went up for auction.
The black turtleneck in the auction included the logo for NeXT, a computer company Jobs founded after he left Apple.
And the back of the shirt had the words '1980s: Personal Computing/ 1990s: Interpersonal Computing'.
