Oliver Price, Assistant Data Editor

Oliver Price joined Daily Mail as a home news reporter in June 2022, moved to the Mail's data journalism new team in June 2024 before being promoted to assistant data editor in October 2025. He has covered a wide range of stories but has also had a focus on investigations, including revealing the real reasons why water companies leaked so much sewage into Britain's rivers and seas, exposing high spending on school taxis at Birmingham Council to raising questions over whether banks fairly refund victims of card fraud.

Oliver was shortlisted for 'data journalist of the year' at the Press Awards 2024 for his work exposing Birmingham Council. He also won 'highly commended' at the Medical Journalists Association Awards 2020 for 'Mental Health Story of the Year' after exposing how patients were being kept on 'hidden waiting lists' to manipulate targets.

He started his career at local news website BedfordshireLive.
