David Catanese is Deputy Executive Editor of Politics at DailyMail.com, where he assists with the Washington D.C. bureau's coverage of the White House, Capitol Hill and campaigns. Prior to joining the Mail, David was chief Washington correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers, senior politics writer for U.S. News and World Report and a national political reporter at Politico. His work has also appeared in The Atlantic, The New Republic, The Daily Beast and Washingtonian Magazine.

A native of New Jersey, David holds degrees from Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago.
