Lownie is author of the unauthorised biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which chronicles the former prince's spectacular fall from grace. He told Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine that Prince Charles advised against giving Andrew the Trade Envoy role in 2001, warning he would just 'chase women and play golf'. Lownie claims the now-King was overruled by then-Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair and ally Peter Mandelson.
