Tube station murder: Man on remand
A labourer accused of killing a woman on a Tube station platform was today remanded in custody for a week.
Vaso Aliu, 29, of Finchley Road, West Hampstead, north London, is alleged to have murdered Margarite Van Campenhout, 24, on January 11 at Euston station.
He was also charged with attempting to murder Christopher Kiely and causing grievous bodily harm to Tomas Pontifrex.
Aliu, dressed in a grey sweatshirt, checked shirt and grey trousers, spoke only to confirm his name during the brief appearance at Horseferry Road magistrates court in central London.
The case was adjourned until January 29 for a hearing at the Central Criminal Court.
No application for bail was made and Aliu was remanded in custody.
