Milosevic's guilt 'will be proved'
Slobodan Milosevic will be found guilty of genocide at his forthcoming trial, it was predicted yesterday.
U.N. war crimes prosecutor Carla Del Ponte said she was 'convinced' she could prove the former Yugoslav president's guilt when his trial for war crimes in Kosovo begins in February.
She also believed there was now a greater 'political will' to bring the two other indicted war criminals, Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, to justice.
Milosevic should be confronted with all his alleged crimes rather than facing separate trials relating to Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia, as scheduled, she told Radio 4' s Today programme.
Although it was 'theoretically possible' he could be acquitted, she said, 'I am convinced I can prove his guilt.'
