Thirty people have been evacuated due to a building fire in Sydney's CBD.
Three fire trucks were called to a building about 12pm to find a fire smouldering between two levels at The Australian Club on Macquarie Street.
The buildings in the immediate surrounding area were evacuated as firefighters contained the blaze, a Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said.

'Crews found a smouldering fire inducting between levels one and two. The exhaust fan to the ducting has been shut down,' the spokeperson said.
'The fire has been contained and fire-fighting operations are continuing.'
NSW Police said their officers were also called to the scene of the fire.
