A Brazilian mother-of-three was left in need of reconstructive surgery after a cosmetic procedure resulted in painful gaping wounds across her rear.
Angela Pedrosa, 26, suffered dramatic injuries after 300mls of industrial silicone was allegedly injected into her rear in Rio de Janeiro.
She spent more than two months in hospital after her botched cosmetic surgery, as doctors fought to save her life by removing infected and decomposing tissue.
The treatment left Mrs Pedrosa with crater-like scars across her rear.

On Wednesday, the mother-of-three was told she will need further surgery to repair the damage and reconstruct her disfigured bottom by transferring fat from areas of her body to create more fullness in her glutes.
This will be Mrs Pedrosa's second Brazilian butt lift procedure, which according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons has an alarming mortality rate.
Earlier this month, Britain's leading plastic surgeons announced they would be launching a formal review into the safety of this type of cosmetic surgery.
Mrs Pedrosa, however, was left with little choice about what she can do, as the disfiguring dents in her bottom have left her in constant pain and have destroyed her self-esteem.

Last month, plastic surgeons removed fat deposits from the mother-of-three's thighs under liposuction in order to rebuild her bum.
But the operation didn't go according to plan, and physicians became alarmed when some of the transplanted deposits were rejected and began rotting.
The procedure also left her with a lopsided backside as 'the left cheek requires more filler', surgeons said.
The follow-up operation will extract additional fat from her tummy and should equalise the shape of her behind. This surgery has now been delayed while she recovers from the first.
