This is the hilarious moment a leopard repeatedly tries and fails to capture a porcupine in a bizarre standoff.
Gerrit Meyer was driving in the Kruger National Park in South Africa when he came across the unusual pair.

The leopard repeatedly jabs its head towards the porcupine but is put off by its sharp quills.
The big cat then even lies on the road trying to avoid the spines as it unsuccessfully darts out a paw in an attempt to catch the porcupine.

But the rodent appears unfazed by the leopard and keeps walking around in circles.
At one point, the leopard even appears to look directly into the camera seemingly baffled by its opponent.
