This is the moment adorable kittens mimicked their mother's every move when she showed them how to clean their faces.

The clip shot in Shenyang City, China, shows a British Shorthair cat sitting on a bedroom floor while licking her paw and using it to wipe her face.

At several points during the 30-second clip the mother pauses grooming and looks at the camera - and every time she does so her kittens stop licking themselves.

Kittens learn social behaviors such as grooming from two to three weeks of age by observing and imitating their mother.

They also learn other behaviours such as using hunting and using a litter tray.
