School is locked down after 'bomb threat' as parents are warned not to come to collect their children
A school on the Gold Coast was placed in lockdown this morning after a bomb threat was made.
Police were called to Southport High School at 11.19am, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.
Parents were urged not to come to the school after the warning was issued.

'School is still in lock down. Police are on site and students are safe. We cannot release students. Please do not come to the school,' the school told students.
The alert was lifted shortly after noon.
Police are on the scene.
