Corrections and clarifications
In common with other newspapers, a report was published on 29 September last year about Manchester fireman Wesley Gerrard being suspended for allegedly inviting women back to his station for sex.
We have since been informed that an investigation found the claim was unsubstantiated, although there was evidence he had used his status as a firefighter to attract women.
Mr Gerrard returned to duty in December last year and we are happy to make the position clear.
