A young boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a falling tree following a massive storm.
The primary school-aged child was at a property near Coolabuinia in southeast Queensland when a tree fell on top of him on Friday morning.
He has been flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter and is suffering from multiple 'head to toe' injuries, Queensland ambulance said.
The region has been ravaged by storms and a supercell tornado which has pelted the area with tennis-ball sized hail.

Family members were distraught as the boy received emergency treatment from paramedics at the scene.
Bystanders were forced to use 4WDs in a desperate attempt to remove the tree.

Queensland ambulance confirmed the incident took place close to where Fiona Simpson, her baby daughter and grandmother suffered serious cuts and bruises when their car was smashed by hail on Thursday afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted more storms for southeast Queensland on Friday, with up to 50mm of rain expected.
Downpours will continue to pelt the area from Friday until at least Monday accompanied by strong southeasterly winds and thunder.
Some areas were left blanketed in large hail stones after Thursday's storm making paddocks resemble snow fields.
Residents described the terrifying noise that came with the tornado when it hit the small town of Tansey about 3pm.
