A contractor who went on the run in Kansas after shooting two of his co-workers while they installed playground equipment at an elementary school has been arrested after leading police on a three-hour manhunt.
The white man opened fire at Sunrise Elementary School in Overland Park, Kansas, at 9am on Tuesday, shooting two of the five men he was working with.
School was not in session at the time and there were no staff members there.
Police say the men got into an argument while installing equipment in the playground.

The shooting happened in the playground of Sunrise Elementary School in Overland Park, Kansas, on Tuesday at 9am. There were no students or staff there. The shooter is one of six contractors who were installing equipment in the playground at the time
He shot two of his five colleagues, critically wounding each victim.
After wounding the two men, the gunman fled and attempted to steal a car nearby but failed.
He then managed to steal a 2011 black Denali which he drove to a nearby car wash where he opened fire again.
He did not injure anyone there but managed to evade police again.
For three hours, police searched for him in the town and combed footage from local traffic cameras.
At around noon, he was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect then tried to break into cars at the scene but failed (one vehicle with a smashed window which he tried to steal is shown above). Eventually, he successfully car jacked a Black 2011 Denali with KS Tag 208BAB
