Queensland town revealed as Australia's richest post code - but how does your neighbourhood fare?
- The richest postcodes have been revealed across Australia with six-figure salary
- Central Queensland town has been named one of best places with high pay pack
- However the country's CBD districts had some of the worst salaries in Australia
A central Queensland town near a liquefied natural gas plant and a city full of public servants are the places to go for Australia's fattest pay packets.
Job search site Adzuna has published a list of the nation's richest postcodes, which offer average salaries in the six-figure range.
The central business districts of Sydney and Melbourne were pretty ordinary, with remuneration levels not far off Australia's average $81,600 pay for full-time workers.

However, for white-collar public servants Canberra, postcode 2600, is a city offering average advertised salaries of $103,752.
Those with engineering know-how can do even better in the central Queensland town of Gladstone, postcode 4680, which has even more generous remuneration packages of $129,024 given its proximity to the Curtis Island liquefied natural gas plant.
Adzuna chief executive Raife Watson said the regional area 500km north of Brisbane was also benefiting from new coal mining projects, which are bringing business to the ports in Gladstone.
'The Gladstone port will also reap the benefits of the global demand for coal, and jobs in logistics will increase steadily as exports ramp up,' he told News Corp.
Australia's busiest central business districts weren't particularly generous, with Sydney offering wages of $82,297 compared with Melbourne's $79,693.
But they were much better than average salaries in South Australia, particularly the areas north of Adelaide with postcode starting with 55.
The area, which includes the wheat belt town of Snowtown, has average salaries of just $45,925.
Western Victoria, which includes the former gold rush city of Ballarat, doesn't fare much better with salaries of $49,085.
