The incident was likely to be caused by slipped brakes, however web users claimed that malicious spirits had possessed the motorised vehicle as an act of revenge for the car's driver.

The footage, posted on Youku, a Chinese video-sharing platform, suggested the incident happened at a Chinese city on March 16.
As the white car drives past, a motorbike with a small trailer attached at the back suddenly pulls away and rams into it, steering left as if to crash into the right of the car.
The driver stopped the car immediately. A woman can be seen carrying a child while stepping out from the front passenger's seat.
A helpful onlooker brings the vehicle to a halt as the clip ends.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.

'Are the ghosts getting revenge to this family?' asked ''duozaimengli shuilanjiao'.
