Netflix have acknowledged that the nine to five, Monday to Friday working week has been abolished by the 24/7 nature of work emails, which are now easily accessed on our mobile phones.
Therefore their employees are allowed to work whenever they like, as long as they still complete the tasks they are assigned, SEEK reported.
Virgin's workplace is similarly flexible, allowing staff members to take unlimited annual leave, and without a senior's approval.
Employees are told only not to go on leave if team projects aren't up-to-date, or if their absence risks hurting the company.
