Customers warned not to use two popular Kmart items over fears they could EXPLODE

Retail giant Kmart has issued an urgent recall for two of their popular portable stoves following concerns they may cause a fire or explode.

The store customers on Friday to return their Jackeroo and Active & Co camping stoves purchased between November 2015 and May 2017 due to an 'issue with the manufacturing.'

On the company's Facebook page a notice advised that there had been 'instances where gas leakage' occurred during operation.

'Hi everyone, we would like to make you aware of a product safety recall we currently have on 2 of our portable single burner stoves (Model No. PL-222; active & Co and Jackeroo) purchased between November 2015 — May 2017,' the post said. 

'If you have purchased either of these products, please stop using it and return it to any Kmart store for a full refund.' 

Buyers were advised if they had any questions to call the customer service team on 1800 124 125. 

The recall comes just days after the Turnbull Government announced a compulsory recall of 2.3million cars fitted with defective and potentially deadly Takata airbags.
