A driver in his 60s has escaped serious injury when his car plummeted down a cliff after he passed out at the wheel.
The man suffered facial injuries after his white 4WD fell 27metres from a road at Mosman near the Spit Bridge inSydney's north.
The driver has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital and it is believed he suffered a medical episode.

The crash occurred near the intersection of near Parriwi Road and Spit Road, on an embankment above the harbour foreshore.
New South Wales Ambulance Inspector Michael Magyary said the driver's survival was incredible, Nine News reported.
'I'd say the seatbelt certainly did a lot of justice, and helped him out... it's extremely lucky because this could have been a tragic accident,' he said.

The driver managed to climb out of his car but said he cannot remember the fall, Seven News reported.
Firefighters who responded to the incident said the car fell 27metres down the cliff, where it remains in the thick shrub beneath the road.
Emergency services began an operation to retrieve the white Toyota Landcruiser 4WD after the 7.45am fall.
