Woman dies after 'feeling too nervous' during driving test

A woman in east China had a sudden cardiac arrest while taking her driving test in an examination centre in Jiangsu Province.
Mobile phone footage taken by an onlooker shows a man performing first aid with rescue breaths on the collapsed learner driver.
The woman, at approximately 30 years of age, was believed to be 'too nervous' and passed out. She was pronounced dead at the hospital later, according to local television broadcast, Jiangsu Television.

A witness told the reporter that the learner driver was performing reverse parking when 'her heart stopped beating suddenly'.
The incident happened at Guanshan examination centre, in Suzhou at 1:30pm, on January 31.
The cause of death is still awaiting for further investigation. However, a psychology expert said it could be triggered by emotional stress.
'The test requires a lot of attention and it takes up energy from your whole body. It puts on a lot of stress to the learner drivers, especially young people.'

Hu Bin, a driving instructor at a driving school in Suzhou, suggested learner drivers to eat enough and to take deep breaths before the test.
'Emotion management can be crucial to learner drivers during practices. If they have learnt to adjust their mood, they would be able to handle the stress during exams.' he said.
One learner driver agreed and told Jiangsu Television: 'Sometimes I would freak out and I don't know how to get hold of the steering wheel.'
