OJ Simpson was back in jail last night after he was accused of
violating the terms of his release on bail.
The shamed former actor and American Football star allegedly tried to
contact a witness in his robbery and kidnapping case.
Reports last night suggested Simpson left a telephone message with
someone involved in the incident that contravened his £60,000
bail conditions.

Simpson, who was famously cleared 12 years ago of killing his wife,
Nicole, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, was flown from Florida to Las
Vegas in the custody of a bail bondsman.
Police said he will be in custody in Las Vegas at least until next
Wednesday, when a judge will decide whether he will remain behind bars
until his trial, which is set for April 7.
A close friend said 60-year-old Simpson was "crushed" at the latest
twist in the case and was "really strict and abiding by the rules of
the bail."
"He even avoided Christmas parties where people involved in the case
might have been," the friend added.
David Roger, District Attorney for Clark County, which includes Las
Vegas, was said to be filing a motion last night to revoke Simpson's
bail.
Former "Naked Gun" star Simpson was freed on bail last September
following allegations that he and a posse of friends burst into a Las
Vegas hotel room and robbed two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint.
He had to agree on three bail conditions when he was released – that he
have no contact with any other people involved in the case, that he
surrender his passport and that he remain in the U.S..
Simpson faces a possible life sentence if he is convicted of armed
robbery, kidnap and gun charges.
The former sports hero claimed he was only retrieving personal
belongings that had been stolen from him.
Simpson is said to have used a false name to call someone else involved
in the robbery case and asked them about the evidence.
He reportedly left a phone message using the name "Miguel" on November
16 last year.
