As the new academic year begun, a school in China has decided to give the students a lesson on the importance of posture.
Footage has emerged on Chinese social media showing a class of primary school students sitting upright while having a textbook on their head.
Around 42 students can be seen doing writing exercise as they manage their way to hold the weight on top of their head.

Video posted on Youku yesterday has drawn over 79,700 views. Web users have apparently been impressed by the teacher's 'brilliant' idea.
All 42 students were told to put a textbook on top of their heads and had to balance them as they did assignment in class.
It's believed that the teacher was meant to train the students to have a good sitting posture for an upright position.

Web users supported the teacher's way of teaching correct posture to students.
'I don't see this as a punishment. The teacher is doing a good job in letting the students to know how to sit properly,' said web user 'mugua_1900'.
Another user 'xiaoxiniu' said: 'This is a great method but not recommend to keep that for too long.'
