A Perth grandmother, 65, has been brutally beaten and left with horrific injuries after she was allegedly attacked in a violent home invasion.
The victim, known only as Mary, had just entered her Armadale home around 5pm Wednesday when she was reportedly followed inside and set-upon by Denzel Lee Winmar.
The 18-year-old man from Tuart Hill was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, stealing a motor vehicle and reckless driving following the incident and fronted court Sunday.

Speaking to 9 News Perth, the grandmother said the man had walked 'straight past' her and into the house.
'I turned around and this man just walked straight past the doorway and I said to him 'Oi, get out' and he turned around and said to me 'Where's your car keys',' she said.
Mary told the man to 'just get out' before he allegedly turned around and punched her in the face.
'He was punching me to the ground and was kicking me while I was on the ground,' she said.

Winmar reportedly made off with the woman's handbag and car before allegedly speeding off along Albany Highway and damaging several vehicles .
Mary is said to be recovering following the incident, but had warned others to remain vigilant.
Winmar will next front Armadale Magistrates Court on September 15.
