A drugged and disqualified driver was speeding to pick up a pizza when he ran down and killed a man in Adelaide, a court has been told.
Dylan Michael Lanc-Quin was jailed on Thursday for at least three years and three months after pleading guilty to causing the death of Harley Chester in February last year.
Mr Chester was crossing a road at suburban Largs North when he was struck, with his body found 73 metres from the point of impact.

Lanc-Quin's car also flipped onto its roof and crashed into a fence.
District Court Chief Judge Michael Evans said the 20-year-old's offending was at the more serious end of the scale for dangerous driving.
'You were driving erratically, at an excessive speed in a built-up area when you knew you were disqualified and that you had consumed illicit drugs,' the judge said.
'Apparently, you were simply picking up a pizza and going back to a friend's house.'
Lanc-Quin also fled the scene of the crash and was arrested about 30 minutes later at his home.
Judge Evans accepted that he was 'truly remorseful' but said Mr Chester's family was struggling with coming to terms with his death.

His twin sister told the court that Lanc-Quin had taken her 'soul of happiness'.
'No-one will ever completely understand how hard it is to lose a twin, someone who was so close to me,' she said.
'You have scarred my soul for life.'
Lanc-Quin was jailed for four years and eight months with a non-parole period of three years and three months.
