Detectives executed a search warrant in Epping in the city's north on Wednesday morning and are believed to have discovered a suspicious device.

Victoria Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the Bomb Disposal Unit was at the scene.
'As the matter is subject of an ongoing investigation it would be inappropriate to comment further,' a spokesperson said.
A substantial area around the home has been cordoned off.
