Looking like a throwback to a bygone era in his impeccable double-breasted suits, Jacob Rees-Mogg has become something of a cult figure in Parliament.

And if this picture of his family is anything to go by, it seems the Tory MP’s six children are following in his footsteps.

Already taking cues from his Old Etonian father’s wardrobe is nine-year-old Peter Theodore Alphege, sitting proudly in a suit.

And eight-year-old Mary Anne Charlotte Emma’s gingham dress could have come straight out of The Famous Five.

The couple’s other three children have similarly eccentric names – Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius, who is one, Thomas Wentworth Somerset Dunstan, seven, and five-year-old Anselm Charles Fitzwilliam.
