A JB Hi-Fi in Queensland was evacuated due to a bomb scare on Monday.

Officers were called to the scene just before 11am after a suspicious note was found on an iPad on display that warned of a bomb in the building, a police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

Customers and staff were told to vacate the store, on Boat Harbour Drive, immediately and officers scoured the store.

Around 90 minutes later, everyone was allowed back inside and the store resumed operations as normal.

'It was a false alarm,' the police spokesman said.

He added that bomb technicians did not need to be called to the scene as specially trained officers were available to handle the situation.

'They ascertained that there was nothing suspicious.'
