Police say a 54-year-old man was travelling in a car with five other people in north-eastern Arnhem Land around 5am on Sunday when it crashed into the beast.

'Tragically a male passenger died at the scene,' he said.
'The other five occupants were taken to Gapuwiyak clinic for treatment to various non-life threatening injuries, including broken bones.
Some passengers are expected to be taken to Royal Darwin Hospital later on Sunday.
'The driver was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative reading,' Sup Board said.
