An Uber driver has been charged with indecently assaulting a female passenger before she managed to escape the car.
Detectives allege that the 28-year-old driver picked up a Western Australian woman at 2.15am on April 22.
The 33-year-old woman was collected from Northbridge, an inner city suburb of Perth.

During the course of the journey the driver allegedly stopped the car and indecently assaulted the woman.
She managed to get out of the car and call for help.

The man has been charged with unlawful and indecent assault and deprivation of liberty.
He will appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on July 17, 2017 and Uber management have been notified of his arrest.
