A desperate search is underway for a teenager who went missing on her way home from the Gold Coast more than a week ago.
The 16-year-old girl was last seen at Arundel, on the Gold Coast, on June 18 before leaving for her family's Brisbane home.
She texted her family about 4pm saying she was on her way and was spotted at nearby Coomera Railway Station later that night, but she failed to return home.

Police said the teenager was spotted again the next day at Helensvale Railway Station about 10.30am.
The girl has been described as Asian in appearance, about 150cms tall with a slim build and long brown hair.

Police have released an image of the girl to the public in the hope she may be found safe and well.
She is believed to be a frequent visitor of the Gold Coast, police said.
Anyone who may have seen the girl or has any information in relation to her whereabouts has been urged to come forward.
