A newborn polar bear has taken her first unsteady steps under the watchful eye of mum in an adorable moment at a Gold Coast theme park.
Footage from inside the polar bear enclosure at Sea World has revealed the heartwarming moment the tiny cub reached the milestone just two months after being born in April.
The cute bear has grown rapidly since and is now considerably heavier than its initial 600grams weight.

Proud mother Liya watched the whole episode unfold and has been a constant by her cub's side since her birth
The cub's development has offered a sense of relief to Liya and the staff at Sea World following the death of its twin just 10 days after their birth in April
In the once in a lifetime moment, the miniature mammal can be seen plucking up the courage to take those first awkward strides before it stumbled across its den and eventually toppled over.
Proud mother Liya watched the whole episode unfold and has been constantly by her cub's side since her birth.
Even though its gender is yet to be announced, there is strong speculation the cute cub is a girl.
'We not absolutely sure but we have suspicions it's a female so we'll have to think about names,' Sea World Marine Sciences director Trevor Long told Gold Coast Bulletin.

Sea World are now developing a new enclosure for the baby bear that will offer an 'environmental enrichment' with its impending release into public life approaching.
Mr Long also revealed the cub the excitement of the park as the cubs considerable development.
'The cub has grown significantly in size and has started taking its first wobbly steps meaning it won't be too long until it's ready to explore the world outside of the den,' he said.
'It is an exciting time for our team as we begin to get a first glimpse into the cub's personality with the little one starting to interact with mum Liya outside of feeding and sleeping.
