A security guard claims he had just one second to duck as a brick was thrown at his car while he was out on patrol.
Ali, who did not want to be named in full, was patrolling one of the seven streets he looks after in Cricklewood when the shocking incident happened.
He told the Ham and High he had spotted two men, in their late teens, acting suspciously and confronted them on Wednesday, around 1am.

He said he saw the two return with masks and balaclavas covering their faces. They drove at speed toward him and threw the brick at his car.
Ali told the paper: 'They came so fast. It was a shock. I had a second to duck.
'We see a lot of moped riders, but haven’t experienced violent crime here.

'It was really painful. But I was upset at the fact that a human being could do that to somebody else. Nothing like that has happened to me before.'
Ali is one of the guards hired through a private contractor by residents in the estate after fears over nighttime safety.
He returned to work the next day, and said he has been inundated with messages of support.
A Met Police spokesman said: 'Police were called at approximately 3.30am on Wednesday, 7 June to reports of criminal damage to a vehicle in Farm Avenue.
'Riders on a moped are reported to have thrown a brick at the windscreen of a parked van.
'No reports of any injuries. No arrests and enquiries continue.'
