Bringing the house down! Dramatic moment stage collapses as half a choir DISAPPEARS in the middle of a song

This is the dramatic moment a stage collapsed during a choir rehearsal, sending shocked students plummeting to the ground.   

The incident happened this week during practice at the University of China.

In the short clip, which has been released online, a conductor can be seen standing at the front directing the choristers as they are midway through a number.

But then suddenly out of nowhere, the right-hand side of the stage collapses, sending students flying. 

The rest of the choir appear dazed and confused in the moments after and stop sing 

The half of the choir who were not affected looked round in shock as the stage gave way, stopping their singing efforts to watch on in horror.

It is reported they soon got off their side of the stage to make sure it did not happen to them and to see to the other students who had fallen.

It is believed that some of the students were injured only slightly, with none of them injured badly enough to be left needing hospital treatment.

Nobody was badly hurt due to the stage being low to the floor in the first place.

According to the university, the chorus was set up 'to make students' college life more colourful and meaningful' but a spokesman said the stage collapsing was not 'expected' with many left shocked.
