Sophy Ridge makes an embarrassing gaffe on live TV while introducing Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale
- The Sky News presenter referred to politician as leader of 'Scottish Labia Party'
- She quickly corrected her mistake but the clip was widely shared on Twitter
- Kezia Dugdale later joked that she was able to keep a 'poker face' after the gaffe
She's a seasoned journalist, used to dodging all the perils that can beset a live TV interview.
But Sky News presenter Sophy Ridge was left red-faced on Sunday after making a particularly embarrassing gaffe.
While introducing a politician on her news show, she referred to Kezia Dugdale as the leader of the 'Scottish Labia Party', before quickly correcting her mistake.

Apparently unfazed by the gaffe, Ms Dugdale was able to maintain her composure as she answered the presenter's questions.
But the damage was done.
Within minutes, amused viewers had taken to Twitter to share clips of the journalist's embarrassing gaffe.
'After this clip, Scottish Labia will be the party on everybody's lips,' wrote @Richard_lamond.

Some disillusioned voters actually saw political potential in the imaginary X-rated party, with @GeorgeGawronska posting a mock-up campaign poster.
And @jontait42 joked that the party would stand a better chance of getting his vote than the real thing.
While @effsee00 hoped that a similar gaffe would befall the Conservative Party.
Thankfully, Ms Dugdale was able to see the funny side, later posting on Twitter that she was able to keep a 'poker face' during the interview.
