A boy, 12, has allegedly threatened a female service station staff member with a knife to steal money in a shocking armed robbery.
The child allegedly arrived at the Shell service station and Coles Express store about 9.10pm on Monday before the alleged holdup in Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast.
The boy allegedly threatened the female staff member with a knife before demanding money.

The boy allegedly left the store with a sum of money, which was recovered when he was found shortly after by police at a nearby Gold Coast home in Upper Coomera.
The 12-year-old boy has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
The female staff member was not physically injured in the incident.
