The bins that disappear underground

A Plastics company believes it may have come up with a solution to the problem of unhealthy bins - put them underground.
It says this will keep harmful bacteria and odours away from people.

Bins for household waste or recyclable material are lowered by a lift into an underground pit or garage and hauled back up when they need to be emptied.
German firm Sulo is offering its system to businesses and hopes that councils will be interested too.
