A Mongolian man who allegedly raped a British tourist on the Gold Coast has been granted bail.
The man appeared via video-link at Southport Magistrates Court on one count of rape and one count of supplying dangerous drugs.
The pair allegedly met at the Sin City nightclub at 10.20am on January 15, 2016, before taking MDMA together at Lex Bell Oval.

The court heard they then arrived at The Islander hotel at 3am, but the woman did not remember going to the room and woke up with the man on top of her.
The court heard the man, who was studying in Australia at the time of the alleged rape, is likely to be detained by immigration officials upon his release from custody.
He may be deported before any criminal proceedings are resolved.
