While many make their morning coffee at home to save money, one person has been pictured taking the cost-saving measure one step further.

The individual, believed to be a man, is seen holding a white kettle up to a power outlet a few feet off the ground, patiently waiting for the water to boil. 

The image appears to have been taken outside Coles in Sydney's Wynyard train station, and later posted to comedy blog Brown Cardigan.
