Sex attacker targeting university students
Last updated at 17:31 23 February 2007
Police are hunting a serial sex attacker who is preying on a university's female students.
Detectives are linking four sexual assaults and a suspicious incident which have all occurred around Loughborough University or the nearby town centre.
On each occasion, a female student in her late teens or early 20s was the victim.
Detective Inspector Simon Hurst, of Leicestershire Police, said: "We need to catch the person responsible for these incidents as soon as possible and I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area during any of the incidents to think back.
"It may have been that they saw something which at the time seemed insignificant but could prove of vital importance to our inquiries."
