Customers today bought flowers on the final full day of trading at London's New Covent Garden Market.
In 1654, a small open-air fruit and vegetable market opened in Covent Garden in central London.
The Floral Hall, now part of the Royal Opera House, opened as the flower market in the mid-1800s.
By 1974, the market relocated to the New Covent Garden Market at Nine Elms in South West London and it was considered the finest flower suppliers in the capital.
It became the largest wholesale fruit, vegetable and flower market in the UK and covered a staggering 57 acres.
But on Friday, it closed its doors for the last time and will move to a new and bright modern premises on Monday.
The new market, in Nine Elms, will be home to 21 wholesalers and 10 florists.
During its time at the current location, it was visited by three quarters of the florists in the capital and had a £5 entry fee for visitors.
