The 5ft 9in beauty queen claimed the size zero look, the equivalent of a UK size four, is unachievable without drugs and is campaigning for London Fashion Week to ban size zero models.
Miss Glynn, 20, told the Lite she was turned down before and after being crowned Miss England last July.
"I was told, 'we
want size four and six’ and that
the clothes hang beautifully on
gaunt models,” she said.
“At one
agency I sat next to a girl who
looked gaunt and skeletal and I
felt fat - at the time I was a size 10. It’s incredible to think even
Miss England can’t get a
modelling contract. Normal
people don’t get a look-in.”
Meanwhile model Jodie Kidd, 28,
criticised designers who use young
girls as models. She said she was
no longer on the catwalk because
she was “positively ancient”.
