Presidential candidate Barack Obama hit back at Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by mocking her signature phrase, "I'm in it to win it", and said his bid was more than just about winning power.
• Obama's bid for a place in history
He told a large and enthusiastic crowd in Iowa: "I'm in it ... to win it," before going on to add: "Hold on. Yes, I want to win. But I'm in it to transform the country."
Senator Obama, 45, announced his candidacy on Saturday outside the Old State Capitol building in Springfield, Illinois, where Abraham Lincoln began his fight against slavery in 1858.
