Doggone it! The moment a hairless Mexican pooch does his business all over the floor of Studio 10 - and Ita looks appalled

A dog shocked viewers when nature called in front of a live television audience in Sydney. 

Animal behaviourist Laura Vissaritis was presenting a segment about rare dog breeds with co-hosts Sarah Harris and Ita Buttrose on Studio 10 on Tuesday morning.

The Network Ten morning show was running according to plan until a hairless Mexican dog, known as a Xolo was brought out.

The dog began circling around as Sarah Harris bent down to pat him.

Harris quickly backed away when she saw what the Xolo was up to.

'Oh oh, oh oh,' Harris said as the doggo proceeded to take a dump on the studio floor.

The pooch's display was met with jeers and cheers from the audience.

He continued to do his business as the hosts looked on in horror.

Vissaritis however kept calm. 'This is what happens when you work with animals on live television,' the animal behaviourist said.

The presenters simply moved to their left and continued the show.

The next dogs and their owners had to walk around the animal's poo.
